Helena Go\u00f1i’s exhibition 2 flowers, 50p<\/em> explores the journey as a transformative experience and the way we return to places that have been fundamental to our personal stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her trip through Canada in 2017, eighteen years after having lived there as a child, becomes an exercise in confronting experience and memory. The relationship between inhabited space and memory is fundamental here: the green and rainy landscape of Getxo, where she lived before moving to Canada, is amplified by the vastness of the Canadian landscape, while the multiculturalism of the destination country offers an encounter between different cultures, religions, and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this coast-to-coast journey, photography becomes a companion to her personal experience, whether in solitude or during encounters on the train, from the intimacy of the cabin to the vast expansion of the landscape.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
